3 Industrial Painting and Flooring Projects You Won’t Want to Skip This Winter

It’s easy to let winter be a season in which we hunker down and just keep pressing forward with our work until spring, and especially if this is a particularly busy time of year for you and your operations.

On the other hand, however, this colder, darker season can hold the perfect opportunity to make a few much-needed updates around your facility, or to finally focus on those maintenance projects that have been calling from your to-do list. As industrial painting professionals, this is certainly a trend that we see each year.

To help create a little industrial painting and maintenance inspiration, we thought we’d offer a closer look at a few of the key services that facilities like yours are taking advantage of this winter. And, as always, if you have more specific questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly!

Electrostatic Machinery Painting

Electrostatic Machinery Painting

It’s no secret that a cleaned and cared-for piece of machinery will live a longer and more productive life, both of which are important to you as a property owner or manager. Painting certainly falls under the umbrella category of “equipment maintenance,” offering so much more than an attractive exterior alone. And, one of the best ways to paint your machinery is with a process called electrostatic painting.

Before we get into the direct benefits, let’s take a closer look at how exactly electrostatic painting works.

How Does Electrostatic Painting Work?

The science behind the process would definitely bring a smile to your old science teacher’s face.

In short, we use specialized equipment to atomize and electrically charge the particles within the specific paint formula we use. The surface to be painted is then grounded with the opposite charge. As the paint is sprayed onto place the particles repel each other, spreading themselves out evenly across the metal surface.

At the same time, the oppositely charged surface attracts them (much like magnets with opposite polarity will grip onto each other).

What Are the Benefits of Electrostatic Painting?

Interior Office Painting

Interior Office Painting

Do you have an office area in your commercial or industrial facility? If so, you likely spend a good deal of time there, and perhaps use that space to meet with clients or guests. Keeping a clean, fresh, and even stylish environment is an important aspect of presenting a professional appearance.

Interestingly enough, there is another key reason behind why painting your office is an especially valuable winter-time project.

Office Painting for the Sake of Your Team (Really!)

The cold, monotonous colors and weather of this season can get to even the most avid fans of winter after a while. Tired, blank walls do little to help!

The fascinating science of color psychology tells us that the use of warm, bright, fresh colors can improve both moods and productivity in your office. For more details about how this specifically works, be sure to take a look at this article: Can’t Focus? Your Office Paint Color Might Be To Blame.

Don't Be Afraid of Interior Paint Fumes!

Thanks to modern paint formulas designed specifically for the task, interior painting in the winter-time with closed doors and windows is no longer an issue. We use top-quality paint products that are developed with low to nonexistent levels of VOCs (volatile organic compounds). It is these VOCs that evaporate as paint dries, sometimes causing that fresh paint smell.

Our products are environmentally-friendly and nearly odorless, meaning that you can breathe easily when it comes to your office painting project this winter.

How Are Your Industrial Floors? Is It Time for an Epoxy System?

Epoxy System

Our epoxy floor systems are designed to be functional, durable, and aesthetically pleasing. This means that they can be equally at home in high-stress industrial environments, medical facilities, and the common area in a retirement home. We can help you determine exactly what your needs are, then line up a customized system that checks every box on your “must-have” list.

The key to having a long-lasting system that works just as hard as you do is found in proper preparation and application techniques. This is overlooked by some flooring professionals, but certainly not by the Painters USA team.

Why Invest In an Epoxy Floor System?

Here are a few benefits that are definitely worth considering:

We also can include a cove base if needed, adding to the ease of cleaning and maintenance. In case you aren’t familiar with the term, a cove base is essentially a seamless curve that connects the floor and wall. Eliminating the standard 90-degree angle where the floor and wall meet means that there will be no difficult corners to clean, or nooks and crannies where contaminants can find a hiding place.

Can We Help With Your Painting and Flooring Needs This Winter?

We are a nationwide painting company, offering commercial and industrial painting and flooring services backed by nearly 40 years of experience. If you have any questions about your specific needs or project idea, we hope you won’t hesitate to give us a call or send an email. It would be a pleasure to serve you! And, just as a reminder, we are more than willing to accommodate your holiday and/or scheduled plant shutdowns.
