Painters USA Gives Back by Supporting Habitat for Humanity

You know, every once in a while we enjoy taking a break from our typical industrial and commercial painting projects to invest in a different kind of workday. Specifically, we enjoy giving back, and using our talents, equipment, and wonderful team to simply better someone else’s life and situation.

As we’ve said before, we all consider this to be one of the many privileges of being a local business.

With that in mind, we thought we’d share a bit about a recent project we had the opportunity to be a part of. It was both gratifying and fun for many, many reasons.

Helping to Paint and Prepare the Prairie Green Community

Dupage Habitat for Humanity recently distributed keys to the final units in a new neighborhood consisting of 12 townhomes. There were about 120 people present, including board members from Dupage Habitat for Humanity, a small army of volunteers, construction teams, and our very own Meg and Paul Cook (owners of Painters USA).

It was not only a time to hand the last keys to these deserving homeowners, but also to reflect on the fact that we are all here for each other, and that a valuable part of life is lending a helping hand when we can.

PUSA is proud to have donated not only materials to this project, but also over 2,400 hours of manpower. This beautiful new neighborhood couldn’t have been more worthy.
