Painters USA Inc. is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with Dupage County Habitat for Humanity. Paul & Meg Cook have committed personal support, along with company resources, towards Habitat's current initiative: Building Stronger Tomorrows. The cornerstone of this endeavour is the development of a new, family-friendly neighborhood in Glen Ellyn called Prairie Green.
The Dupage Habitat for Humanity's mission is to provide affordable "opportunities for homeownership to limited-income families or individuals." The Prairie Green Project is designed to provide housing for 12 needy families by building a dozen two-story townhomes all closely huddled together in a friendly cul-de-sac setting. Painters USA's participation is to hang & tape drywall for these structures.
Through cooperative efforts spearheaded by Dupage Habitat and other dedicated partners, like Painters USA, completion of the Prairie Green neighborhood can be fulfilled. Habitat's ideal first resident to occupy a home at Prairie Green is the family of a military veteran.
A fundamental part of this enterprise requires the support of volunteers. We ask that you would please consider this wonderful opportunity to help Painters USA make a positive impact on the community and help deserving people enjoy the comfort and pleasure of owning a place they can call home.
Dupage Habitat for Humanity
"DuPage Habitat is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International®, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. We work in partnership with families and the community to build affordable housing at no profit.
We believe that owning a home is major milestone on the road to a family's financial success, and a key component of community's economic stability. But at DuPage Habitat, we don't give a hand out. We offer a hand up by enabling our partner families to achieve the pride of homeownership one floor board, one paint job, one playroom at a time. Since 1995, DuPage Habitat has sold homes to nearly 60 limited-income families with over 150 children."
