Meeting all commercial painting needs

Restore and refresh

From restoring surfaces that are failing and require removal of old coatings, caulking, and minor repairs to refreshing dingy walls or updating colors, we make any interior or exterior surface new again.

Inspection readiness

Commercial buildings must comply with a wide range of standards and regulations, from corporate dictates to quality certifications to federal and local regulatory demands. We help you meet them and stay ready for any audits or inspections.

Durability and performance

Warehouses, stores, office buildings, healthcare facilities—many commercial buildings are subject to wear and tear and constrained by demanding business hours. Long-lasting results are a necessity when there’s no time for do-overs.

Visual appeal

Aesthetics and appearance are important for so many reasons. From customers to employees to prospective new tenants, people and organizations expect well-kept, visually appealing space to feel satisfied and secure.

Health and safety concerns

Maintaining good air quality, reducing mold and bacteria growth, and preventing slips / trips / falls are just a few safety issues we can address with specialized paints and coatings for commercial facility applications.

Rebranding or repurposing space

Acquiring a competitor, buying a building that needs to be repurposed, updating logos or brand colors—we can handle any change to an existing commercial building to reflect your business image by eliminating all remnants of the prior business.

Questions you should be asking

What is the process for completing a commercial painting project?

While each project and client will have unique needs, when you engage with a commercial painting contractor, the first step should be a visual assessment of the space and surfaces. Then once the contractor and coating products are selected and the project begins, the work space will be defined and adjacent areas protected. Then comes surface prep and paint application, followed by thorough clean-up. A walkthrough will be done to identify and punch list items.

These steps assure quality outcomes, and with 40 years of experience, Painters USA has refined this process to get your project completed on-time, for limited downtime and the fast return-to-service you need.

Who will be doing the work?

The people we send to work at your site will be Painters USA employees who were background-checked prior to being hired and enter the appropriate level of our Apprenticeship Program based on NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) programs and guidelines. Additional training is provided to ensure they have the necessary safety and production skills to work on any commercial project. It’s just one more assurance of our experience, reliability, safe work practices, and quality outcomes.

What safety procedures can I expect from your crews as they work at our job site?

Painters USA is a commercial painting contractor with a strong commitment to workplace and jobsite safety. We employ safety directors in both our Chicago and Dallas offices, conduct regular safety training classes on topics like fall prevention, lock-out / tag-out procedures and confined space requirements. Our team leaders address any potential safety hazards they encounter, and they are empowered to do what’s necessary to prevent and respond to any safety incident.

What are your company’s EMR and TRIR ratings?

Along with confirming safety procedures, it’s a good idea to verify any commercial painting contractor’s safety track record through their EMR and TRIR ratings.

Your Painters USA representative will be happy to share our current EMR and TRIR ratings with you.

Is your business adequately insured?

Painters USA is insured for personal and bodily injury, property damage, general and professional liability, and workers’ compensation. We carry adequate coverage relevant to the markets and clients we serve, including large corporations and businesses in high-risk industries like agriculture and mining.

What can we do to help ensure our commercial painting project is completed on-time and on-budget?

The number #1 thing is to select a painting contractor with relevant experience, a sound reputation, and any other credentials that matter to you, like supplier diversity. Making a decision based solely on price can end up costing more in the long run.

Once you choose the contractor, collaborate on all plans with all stakeholders and participants represented. Agree on advanced preparations such as clearing the project workspace of equipment and product. Finally, give all supervisors and employees who will be affected by the work a heads-up, so they will know what to do (and not do!) and what to expect in advance. Getting everyone’s buy-in and support and clear communications will help ensure a smooth project with no cost overruns, missed deadlines, or other issues.
